Ramakant Gaikwad
Ramakant Gaikwad is a distinguished Hindustani classical vocalist whose musical journey began at an early age under the guidance of his father, Pt. Suryakant Gaikwad. He further refined his training with his mother, Mrs. Sangita Gaikwad, and Dr. Satish Kaushik, a disciple of the late Pt. Sadashivrao Jadhav of the Kirana Gharana. His musical development was enriched through the guidance of Padmashree Pt. Jagadish Prasad, a disciple of Ustad Bade Ghulam Ali Khan.
At present, he continues his advanced training under the renowned maestro Pt. Nayan Ghosh, an eminent exponent of both tabla and sitar. Deeply rooted in the traditions of the Kirana and Patiala Gharanas, Ramakant Gaikwad is recognized for his refined musicianship, expressive voice, and thoughtful interpretation of the khayal tradition. Through his dedication to the art of Hindustani classical music, he represents a promising new generation of vocalists committed to preserving and advancing India's rich musical heritage.
